Mortgage Interest Rates have been holding steady for about a week now, not much movement since they came down from the ugly highs they reached in October. Thirty year fixed rates reached as high as 8.25% for about a week. Now most lenders are quoting the 30 year fixed rate around 7.125%. These are much different times than just a year ago – we are now cheering and happy for a 7.0% rate!
Not much on the economic calendars to move rates for the next couple weeks. Most experts are expecting rates to be “ho hum” through the rest of the year.
